On February 1, 2003 Columbia space shuttle broke up. The accident was caused for a piece of foam of the space shuttle. After that NASA developed the EVA (Extravehicular activity infrared camera). EVA can withstand cosmic and intense radiation, fire and shock. The EVA is used in the International Space Station and before the astronauts took it up into space the trips had been insecure.
